We will start our tourist adventure with the Warta region from the Museum of the Warta City and River. You read that right, the river and our city have the same name. The museum was created in late ’70 by enthusiasts from the PTTK in Warta.

The permanent exhibition occupies four rooms, an additional room is reserved for temporary exhibitions. At the permanent exhibition, you can admire archaeological monuments from the area where the Jeziorsko reservoir is now located. The oldest exhibits in our museum come from the Bronze Age. This means that we can back to the history of the region by as much as 1,500 years.

The museum is a grat place to start further tourist adventures in vicinity of the Warta River. With a pill of knowledge gathered here, we can go into the nature 😉 and there is a lot to explore! It is the best to go on foot, by canoe or by bike, after all, it is a beautiful area with exceptional natural values.

Turystyczną przygodę z Wartą rozpoczniemy od Muzeum Miasta i Rzeki Warty. Dobrze Państwo przeczytali, rzeka i nasze miasto mają tę samą nazwę. Muzeum zostało utworzone w latach ‘70 XX wieku przez pasjonatów z Zarządu PTTK w Warcie.

Ekspozycja stała zajmuje cztery sale, dodatkowe pomieszczenie wygospodarowane jest na wystawy czasowe. Na ekspozycji stałej podziwiać można zabytki archeologiczne z terenów, na których jest teraz zbiornik Jeziorsko. Najstarsze eksponaty w naszym muzeum pochodzą z okresu brązu. To oznacza, że możemy cofnąć się do historii regionu aż o 1500 lat.

Muzeum to świetne miejsce do rozpoczęcia dalszych przygód turystycznych w okolicach Warty. Z pigułką wiedzy zebranej tutaj możemy ruszyć w teren 🙂 a jest co zwiedzać! Najlepiej pieszo, kajakiem lub rowerem, w końcu to piękne okolice, z wyjątkowymi walorami przyrodniczymi.
