Old Pandelejmon
Hi, today we are going to tell you about our trip to the old Pandelejmon. It is a village located 600m above sea level in the Olympian Mountains. There are stone houses. It houses the Saint Panteleimon Holy Orthodox Church. It is dedicated to St. Pantaleon, who became a martyr. There are plants such as qumaro which is used to make honey there, it has healing properties, you can also make cipuro, a high percentage alcohol popular in northern Greece. In this mountain village there are many restaurants where we can find delicious Greek food, there are also dishes for vegetarians, a special dish is arakas.
Cześć, dzisiaj opowiemy wam o naszej wyprawie do starego Pandelejmonu. Jest to wioska położona 600m n.p.m w górach olimpu. Są tam domy z kamienia. Mieści się tam kościół prawosławny Saint Panteleimon Holy Orthodox Church. Jest pod wezwaniem św. Pantaleona, który został męczennikiem. Występują tam rośliny, takie jak qumaro z której robi się tam miód, ma on właściwości lecznicze, można z niego również zrobić cipuro, popularny w północnej grecji wysoko procentowy alkohol. W tej górskiej wiosce znajduje się dużo restauracji w których możemy znaleźć pyszne greckie jedzenie, są to również potrawy dla wegetarian, szczególną potrawą jest arakas.
